This is what all cameras do to regular Alkaline batteries.

These are the batteries you need:

They will easily last a month with moderate use.

Or if you want rechargeable, get these:

As the first and second post said you want a hi mAh rating, these are 2500 which will last almost as long as the Energizer lithiums.

Be sure to check that the batteries are genuine. I've mistakenly bought some fake Duracells from a petrol station quite recently. They are very convincing. It lasted 4 pictures in my FujiFilm Finepix S5700. Also if they are fake , then take them out of the camera immediately , as they could explode.

I think its your batteries are faulty*. By faulty i mean the batteries don't have enough juice to run the digital camera.
By the way are the rechargeable ones? or just use and throw type batteries?

I recommend u to buy a pair of rechargeable batteries with good mAh ratings (say 2500 mAh or above ) and a battery charger for the same.
There are different type of rechargeable batteries ( different chemical components like lithium, nickel, magnesium, etc.. )
Ask the shop owner or some one who has knowledge about which type of battery is good and buy a pair.

U just make sure that mAh ratings of the rechargeable battery ain't less than 2500mAh. The greater the value, the longer u can use them before next recharge.

Also check the camera's manual, that what type of batteries ( chemical component ) do they recommend and of which mAh ratings.

Hope this helps

Actually, it IS the batteries. Digital cameras require a higher charge than Duracell and other regular batteries provide. Use batteries that are specifically sold for digital cameras - these will have a mah rating of 2000+. Or better yet, get some rechargable batteries with a mah rating of 2000+ (the higher the number, the better.)
