new waterlines put outside into house–odour in kitchen sink has not gone away–any ideas?
the work was done by the town for the water into house–odour was there before and still here–not really stinky but unpleasant to say the least–it usually smells bad when water in run into the sink–the drains are draining as they should but the smell is too much at times—only when water is run into kitchen sink–please any suggestions?
What you are describing leads me to believe that you have a garbage disposal for you sink. True? Well if true, then this is more than likely the culprit! The check-valve on the drain from the disposal unit is bad. Could be from the dishwasher drain, too. I’d check them both out.
Is there a trap under the sink or is it a sink that has been added on.
i would also check to make sure thet the sewer vent in the house is hooked up properly. and not coverd or caped. i have seen this done before .
