The landscapers dug four diagonal trenches and filled them with sand and gravel. we also had the lawn levelled. It has made a huge difference. we had to put drainage in our lawn last year. So many different opionions of what i should do though. The one I'm going to do is dig a 2ft deep trench along the lower end of the garden, put some sand in the bottom and gravel on top and a few inches of soil at the top to keep the grass growing on it I have to do that to my garden too.
